Greater Than the Sum of its Parts: Alder New York's New Fortifying Face Oil

Alder New York's new hydrating and enriching Fortifying Face Oil is here and it's going to change your routine for the better. The quick penetrating face oil uses a blend of natural plant oils rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants to hydrate dry or dull skin and reinforce its natural defenses. It's formulated with moisturizing and elasticity boosting ingredients that can stand on their own but have been brought together to make a unique blend that's greater than the sum of its parts. Here we spotlight a few of the key ingredients that make our vegan phyto oil so good at improving skin's health and appearance.

Organic Jojoba Oil

Derived from the seed of the jojoba plant, a shrub native to parts of Arizona, California, and Mexico, this non-comedogenic oil mimics our skin’s natural oils. It adds hydration and boosts our skin’s natural barrier to protect it from environmental irritants and bacteria.

Plant Squalane

Squalene is an organic compound found in animals and plants, including humans. When Squalene is fermented with yeast it creates a highly stable version called Squalane. Our squalane is sourced from natural sugarcane and acts as an antioxidant and humectant that replenishes and locks in moisture. It's non-greasy and ensures long lasting hydration.

Abyssinian Oil

Pressed from the seeds of the mustard plant, this lightweight oil is extremely stable and uniquely rich in linoleic and linolenic acids that help reduce inflammation and condition skin.

Marula Oil

Derived from the kernels of the fruit of the Marula tree, this oil is rich with antioxidants and essential fatty acids like omegas 6 and 9. Marula oil is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin, providing protection and skin hydration.

Hi Chase,

You can pair it with either one or both! We recommend layering with the serum to start, then oil, then moisturizer.

For dry skin is it better to pair the face oil with the serum or moutrizer ?
