Current Obsessions - Volume 01

Current Obsessions is our recurring feature where you'll get an inside look into what Alder New York's Chief Creative Officer David Krause and CEO Nina Zilka are currently obsessing over.

NZ: I’ve gone down the #FarrahFawcettHair TikTok rabbit hole and now I can’t get out. Last weekend I committed to the look with my latest cut and color and now I spend most mornings blow-drying and flipping and twirling in an attempt to nail the look. The bigger, the fluffier, the better.

NZ: I’ll take any excuse to be in Hudson, and Wylde Market - which features incredible makers and brands like Karu, Village Common, and of course, Alder New York - is a really good one. Come by June 12th and you’ll find me sipping on the free cold-brew and scouring incredible vintage pieces.

NZ: Their packaging was too intriguing to pass by, so I finally tried the fake chicken Nuggs that have been Instagram targeting me for months. Verdict is: they’re good! I’ll definitely be snacking on them late nights with a beer.

NZ: I’m so into the packaging for our Pride Limited Edition Cooling Mineral Hydro Mist which shows queer people unapologetically enjoying themselves - which in our society is itself a radical statement. As as queer-owned brand we wanted to show the joy that comes with being queer and celebrate that.

DK: It doesn't really get better than being outside in the warm weather while enjoying great art- enter Art Omi.

DK: My Favorite Hudson, NY restaurant, Lil' Deb's Oasis, is open again and I can't wait to order the Plato Tropical- lentils, cooked greens, and rice. Yum!

DK: It might be a surprise but being a founder of a skincare company doesn't always mean you get access to products before everyone else which is why I'm so stoked to have my favorite Brightening Face Mask back in my skincare routine.

DK: My backyard chicken flock just got a big addition, Jackson the Rooster! He's super sweet, loves looking after the hens, and is so pretty.
