5 Things to Do Other Than Binge Watching Netflix

Let's be real- we've been binge watching a lot of Netflix lately and we're already over it. So we've been turning to a some new activities to keep things interesting. Here are a few of our favorite new hobbies we've been doing at home.

Play a Game of Cards

Whether you're with your family, friends, or on your own, there are plenty of card games that can be played. We love this deck of cards from Hay, but honestly any deck will do. Learn how to play Poker or stick with a childhood classic, Go Fish! 

Bake a Delicious Dessert

There's no greater experience than biting into a warm homemade baked good, especially when you're the one who made it. Instead of parking yourself in front of the TV while eating a sad grocery store dessert, make your own. We love Food52's Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies, The First Mess's Banana Bread, and Serious Eat's No Knead Bread

Dive into a Puzzle

Puzzles are great when you have time and boy do we have the luxury of time. We're big fans of Piecework puzzles. They're beautiful works of art that once you've finished, you won't want to take apart!  

Indulge in Self Care with a Face Mask

When hunkering down at home there's no better time to embrace a self care routine. We like using Alder New York's Smoothing Face Mask to make our skin look and feel super smooth and healthy. Wear it while doing chores, meditating, or -dare I say it- binge watching Netflix.

Arrange a Digital Hangout

While in-person hangs are on hold, you can still see all your friends and family with the many digital hangout options out there. We've been face timing on our iPhones, using Google Hangouts, as well as using Zoom and Microsoft Teams- the point is there are tons of options to stay connected!
