The Best Barbershops In New York City

on

A good hairdo is only as good as the barber and the shop it came from. In NYC we're lucky enough to have plenty to pick from, but with so many options it can be difficult to choose. That's why we narrowed it down to the five best barbershops to get a cut that will leave you looking and feeling fly.

FELLOW BARBER

Fellow Barber is the place to go for the perfect cut and shave. Look forward to the refreshing eucalyptus scented hot towel at the end of your trim and be sure to pick up some grooming products from their house brand as well as other barbershop approved brands. With five locations in NYC there's little excuse not to stop in.

BLIND BARBER

If you've ever thought: "I wish there was a bar at this barbershop," then Blind Barber is the shop for you. Each location is outfitted with a full cocktail bar where you can hang and get a drink while you wait or just chill with friends. The shop also has a house line of personal care products ranging from shampoo to candles.

RUDY'S BARBERSHOP

Born in Seattle in the early 90s, this grunge era barbershop is anything but dated. Head to one of New York's coolest hotels, The Ace, to get a trim, shave, and style at Rudy's only NYC location. Don't forget to check out the retail options featuring grooming products from Malin + GoetzBaxter's, and Byrd, as well as their own brand.

FREEMAN'S SPORTING CLUB

Freeman's Sporting Club is the one stop shop for your menswear and grooming needs. Their brand of quality-made mens apparel is as detailed and well done as the cut you'll get from one of FSC's barbers. This shop takes you back to the good old days when the notion of "made local, buy local" wasn't a branding pitch.

LUDLOW BLUNT

This shop is a real looker! Despite looking like a classic barbershop this spot is popular with both the boys and the girls. Get a classic cut with a contemporary eye and leave feeing as sharp as the blade the just cleaned up your hair line.
