When we met up with bicoastal fashion designer, Aza Ziegler, to talk about what's happening with her brand Calle Del Mar, we also took a moment to chat about her favorite spots to eat and shop here in NYC when she's not busy working on her line.

SALTIE 378 METROPOLITAN AVE, BROOKLYN, NY

"Saltie's turmeric tonic is for sure the best! I tried making it at home the other day. I like how small the shop is and its random location - I know I can always get a healthy, good, filling lunch there."

CAFE HENRIE 116 FORSYTH ST, NEW YORK, NY

"I love the colors and am obsessed with their plates, bowls, and cups. The food is great! I love the quiet Parisian style. Simple and perfect!"

PLAYLAND MOTEL 197-20 ROCKAWAY BEACH BLVD, ROCKAWAY BEACH, NY

"I am obsessed with Playland. All the colors, the casual beach style, and the artist designed rooms make you forget you're in New York! I'm just so inspired by the colors there, it felt like a Calle dream!"

BKLYN CURATED 88 FRANKLYN ST, BROOKLYN, NY

"I don't know if I want to give this one away, but my favorite vintage store in New York is called BKLYN Curated. It's in Greenpoint, right on Franklin street. It's this tiny little store and this weird, weird guy, and he used to buy for LLR Vintage. He has this random selection and it's not expensive. He's full of stories and he's super weird. I really like that place."

10 FT SINGLE BY STELLA DALLAS 285 N 6TH ST, BROOKLYN, NY

"Another great vintage store!"

PILGRIM SURF + SUPPLY 68 N 3 ST, BROOKLYN, NY

"My fave surf shop. I love everyone that works there, their pastel and bright surf boards, their amazing books, and their great selection of cool sneakers."
